Proto Opsim v2
v2 of my top down shooter roguelite prototype, have some weapon/ship choices, basic proc gen levels, basic stat upgrades at end of each level. Web version relatively untested, leaving a windows download as well.
Next I will be working on saving/loading, then look into the options I have sketched out for weapon/module upgrades and 'campaign' structure, so you can quit and return to games. Once the basic bones are in will make things a little more interesting with weapons and ships, possibly change the 'missile' slot to something with more utility than straight damage, add random events and shops of some kind to break up the combat levels, make a lot more level chunks. Will look into adding some 'boss' levels to end each region.
Controls:
WASD- Point your ship Up/Right/Down/Left respectively
Spacebar- Ship thrust
Shift- Boost, drains purple bar in corner, release button to recharge
Mouse Aim, left click to shoot, must reload after certain number of shots, see green bar in bottom left
Q- Shoot homing missile, haven't implemented hard limits here yet, looking into possible alternatives
Gamepad controls are under construction, but generally left side moves (left stick point ship, left trigger thrust) and right side is weapons (right stick aims weapon, right trigger shoots). I kinda like this control scheme but will need to explore other options, including more 'standard' controls.
